Lessons for the fall quarter begin with God’s people struggling to maintain hope and move toward the future God has promised them. The study introduces students to significant leaders in the books of Joshua, Judges, Ezra, Nehemiah, Mark, First and Second Peter, who helped guide God’s people, restoring hope and establishing God’s covenant community. This class meets in the classroom at the end of the hall on the second floor of the Education Building. Teacher: Ray McKinnon. Contemporary Issues Class: This class is currently doing a six- week study by Adam Hamilton entitled Christianity and World Religions. This class meets in the conference room in the Baker Center. Teacher: Joe Ward. Fellowship Class: This class does not have a written curriculum, but instead, meets in the library to discuss issues relevant to members’ lives and church life here at Calvary. Leader: Beth Strakonsky Friendly Circle Class: This class will begin a twelve-week study by J. Ellsworth Kalas entitled Strong Was Her Faith: Women of the New Testament. In this follow-up to his book The Thirteen Apostles, popular author J. In twelve chapters, the author looks into the life and times of eleven different women. (Mary, the mother of Jesus, is the focus of two chapters.)
